Adventure!

Yesterday, myself and a few of others of the company (Captain, Zokushi, Adirelia, and Oakos, I believe... don't hurt me if I'm wrong..) decided to go have a little fun in Permafrost.
On our way there, we had somewhat of an accident that involved the Captain going into a spasm, some deep water, and me getting blamed. But we can save that story for another time...

While we were trying to decide what could possibly be worth our time in Permafrost, we had the wonderful idea to go check into Drayek's chambers.

Surprise, surprise, there was a new ice king there. Apparently he gets replaced whenever some brave group of travellers take one down.

So we decided... maybe we should be this brave group..

I won't bore you with any other detail other than that the battle was long and draining. Not so much hard, though there were some close calls. But of course, we prevailed.

Afterwards, we all took a break before the guild activities that night. When we gathered back up, it seems that we mustered too much of the guild, and there were spare bodies around. I was one of the ones that offered to sit this night out, but it seems too many offered and I was "volunteered" back into the position.

We caused a large ruckus in the Silent City, taking care of the undead. I'm glad I went, for the last mummy we destroyed was wearing a very lovely ring, which radiated with arcane power. I, being the only mage in the party (and thus the only one who had any idea of it's power), took the ring as my own.

And then to boot, a few of us took a stroll in the Poet's Palace. I'll spare the details since I have already written enough, but from there I recieved a necklace more powerful than I was already wearing. It's a good thing I don't find it morbid to wear the jewelery of the dead.

A very POWERFUL day.

Lockjaw

Rumors had been flying around the Sinking Sands about a giant crocodile.. Lockjaw.

The Company decided to go clean out his little nest, we did. A bit of dabbling in his cave and we finally found him. Amazingly this creature was apparently around during my father's time, because sure enough when I saw him, the visions came flooding in. He has grown juuuust a little since back then, though.

Guess he has been feeding on adventurers all these years!

We started out rough, and many of us took a good beating during the whole event. Captain kept his cool however, and the leaders had a good plan set in place. It was a close call, but finaly we rang victorious!

We all thought we would be getting some new croc hide boots, but I think we did a -little- too much damage for that. Lockjaw's hide was ripped and burnt to bits by the time he was dead enough to cut any off of him in a professional (and I don't mean in the professional assassin sense) way. We ended up finding enough non-damged hide to make one vest, but alas, that is all.

Postscript: I forgot to mention that the Captain has been trying to get Lockjaw's head back to the hall in Freeport, to mount it. So far.. we've not been successful. It is a reaallly big head.

Hmm.

I have been keeping a seperate journal as of late.. I suppose for certain reasons I should not state here.

The Company is wonderful, I love the Sigils, but I enjoy the fact of having people around to aid in my journeys even more so. I attended a meeting of the Sigils the other day.. Mum kinda ragged on Anskiere and I for leaving, though I think it was unintentional. Her sister, Erithe, redeemed her, though. She also did so a bit later in her speech. One of their new candidates is a bit of a snot-nosed brat. Oh, well. It is not for me to deal with. I just may not show up for meetings soon again if I am going to be looked down upon by a spoiled Koada'Dal simply because I am a "mutt blood." I will always hold the Sigils precious; I will always be the Sigil of the Star.

This is all that matters.

The text seems to have been added to the entry at a later time..

I read Anskiere's writings and wish I had something of the same myself. I wish I had some awesome background, that I could relate to the world before the Shattering. I am a young one, though. I was born after the Rending; I think my mum is a bit mixed up with dates.

I also wish that I had the ability to believe in the gods of times past. I have seen no proof, though. My mum doesn't seem to enforce anything. I suppose I've created my own, though. At least I know the stars are always there.

For now, I'll just be my silly, child-like self. Different from her husband in every way except for our studies. Looked down upon for being a half-blood by him among others. Does it seem right to anyone else? Where is my stability?

That's enough of this though (insert kooky monkey grin here). I'm going to go run around in my monkey illusion some more. I enjoy it thoroughly.

Been busy...

I realize I said I would write more, but I have just been so busy with the Company. I have gained power by leaps and bounds since joining them, and I fully enjoy it.

My sister has recently gotten her nails into a human boy... a bit dissapointing to say the least. The least she could do is find someone who won't die eons before herself. It was more than just toying with him, too... bah. Oh well. I hear that he is leaving for a long time anyway. She'll forget about him for sure.

Jai has been a bit slower than me in her training, but I think that she has finally caught up to my level of power.

My visions are completely under control now. I use them to my benefit, because every bit of knowledge helps. I still do have troubles trying to conjure visions of places I myself have not set my eyes on, but can get some fleeting images... I am working on improving this.

Speaking of knowledge, I recently visited a place called the Obelisk of Lost Souls. I have been there before, but never had I delved so deep inside. There is a wealth of knowledge stored within... apparently, Norrath is not alone among the stars. Though I personally find it hard to believe, I don't put it outside the realm of possibility. Through my visions I have seen places many adventurers wandered that were not on Norrath.. or Luclin for that matter. As stated above, I only see fleeting images of these places, but am trying to focus on them to get a better idea of what they are. All I know is that if these places do still exist somewhere... we have no rediscovered the means to travel to them.

I am very intrigued with the idea that there are other planets with sentient life.. especially if what I have found is true, and some of them are already on Norrath, hostile as they may be... I wish to find a way to travel to these other worlds. If they can come here, why can't I go there? Research.. research is what I need.

It may take more than myself... but for now, I will look into it alone.
